Re: The Ultimate Either/Or: Illusion or Infinity? By Deepak Chopra

In his recent essay, Deepak Chopra writes, “If you were, you could stop being a mixture of conscious agent and brain puppet. A big step will be gained once you see that the only escape from illusion is infinity. This is the secret of every tradition of higher consciousness, and its truth will never abandon us.”

When Chopra speaks of the “brain puppet,” he gestures in the right direction. He acknowledges that most people are not the masters of their consciousness — they are prisoners of their brain’s conditioning. In essence, he is admitting that the brain operates as a separate entity, with its own programming and primitive agenda. And yet, paradoxically, he continues to define the mind as a mere phenomenon — a fleeting mist rather than a measurable force.

This, right here, is the crux of the global confusion.

The brain must be recognized as a distinct and autonomous entity. Only then can we build a new scientific paradigm — a brain education industry — designed to rewire the brain not to enslave the mind, but to project the true self: a self free from ego, free from emotional distortion, and grounded in wisdom.

Chopra equates illusion’s opposite with infinity. But that poetic leap clouds the path forward. The true opposite of illusion is not infinity — it is reality. And reality, if we are to save this world, must be defined scientifically.
