The Little Brain Tree

2 min readJun 27, 2025

A fable for children — and the grown-ups still growing

Once upon a time, in a quiet corner of the Great Garden,
there was a Little Brain Tree.

It had curly branches like question marks
and leaves that shimmered with ideas.
But the Little Brain Tree was confused.

Every day, the other trees said things like:
“Grow up straight!”
“Don’t wiggle so much!”
“Stop sprouting new branches — it’s too messy!”

The Little Brain Tree tried hard.
It folded its branches in,
stopped reaching for new light,
and stayed very, very still.

But inside, it felt… tangled.

One day, a wise Wind came wandering through.

“Why do you look so droopy, Little Tree?” the Wind asked.

“I think I’m growing all wrong,” whispered the tree.
“My branches go too many directions. My thoughts are too loud. My trunk won’t stay still.”

The Wind rustled gently.
“Oh, Little One… no tree grows the same.
Some stretch tall. Some grow wide. Some twist beautifully to find the sun.
You are not wrong. You are just… unwritten.
